The 100 Day Project: Day 27

The theme for Day 27 was "Reflected". I used a monotype print that I had painted using acrylic paints and scanned, as the background for this collage. Using a variety of digital Photoshop stamps that I had made of my own drawings, I stamped historical motifs over the monotype background. To suggest the theme "Reflected", I merged all the layers to one, duplicated the design and flipped it to mirror the original image. I applied a filter to the flipped image to make it feel as if the original image is being reflected in a pool of water. I love working this way, mixing actual painting and drawing with a variety of digital tools to create interesting images!
